Community
"WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE." – WINSTON CHURCHILL
The Woolwich Poly Sixth Form fosters community. We believe our community is not only made up of our students and teachers, but the people in our local area. With this belief comes responsibility: we have a role to play in the betterment of Thamesmead and the greater London area.
This year, year 12s and year 13s have come together to choose seven charities to support:
- Marlborough Court Home
- Demelza
- Royal National Institute for the Blind
- Green Peace
- Mind
- Great Ormond Street Hospital
- Salvation Army
Our students have led on the following projects: organising fundraisers; delivering assemblies and visiting both Demelza and Marlborough Court Home.
